SARAH PACHELLI

p71803131

Sarah never intended to teach yoga. After years of a continuous and vigorous practice where injury was often her way of learning, too many of her favorite teachers told her she, too, had to teach. Just as she listened to them when approaching Eka Pada Koundinyasa, she trusted their intuition. Thus, Sarah enrolled in the YogaWorks 200-hour Teacher Training program and has not looked back.

She first flirted with yoga in college when, after a few classes, she’d practice those pesky balancing poses in front of the mirror, shocked that people could contort their bodies into certain postures. She relied on her flexibility, but yoga, she soon learned, transcended her ability to twist and tumble. Admiring the careful, deliberate sequencing of her teachers, Sarah began to understand the subtly of yoga and how it translates to life off the mat. She has studied under — and continues to study with — Joan Hyman, Jeanne Heileman, Natasha Rizopoulos, James Morrison, Lucy Bivins, Anne Van Valkenburg, Light, Whitney Allen, Kim Fisch and Rusty Wells. Sarah’s classes are challenging and vibrant, where sweat is synonymous with strive in attempt to calm the mind, even if only for an asana-loaded moment.

TIFFANY RUSSO

Tiffany’s love for yoga began 10 years ago. Born and raised in Southern California, the practice of hatha style yoga has provided a peaceful balance to LA’s chaos while transforming her mental and physical awareness. Influenced strongly by her teachers Annie Carpenter, Sonya Cottle, Jeanne Heileman and Amy Lafond and thanks to a little push from them, Tiffany followed her heart and enrolled in teacher training at YogaWorks. Her training has taught her a more in depth way to find the organic balance of playfulness and discipline while focusing on linking the breath with movement. Tiffany is grateful for the opportunity to share her experience of this timeless practice with others. She teaches a strong yet welcoming class, empowering her students to find the quietness of their breath within a little work of the body.

Jennifer Perry has been teaching since she was 8 years old, gathering the neighborhood kids to her backyard deck for a ballet, acting, or gymnastics class. She then followed her passion for movement to the performing arts high school “The Chicago Academy for the Arts” where she majored in dance. Upon graduating high school, Jennifer moved to New York where she continued her studies of dance, anatomy, and nutrition: receiving her BFA from State University of New York at Purchase. It was in New York City where she discovered yoga at the Jivamukti studio, as well as various Bikram studios in Manhattan. Jennifer began using her yoga practice to keep her body in alignment and injury free while touring the world dancing professionally. In 2002 Jennifer moved to Las Vegas after being offered the contract of a lifetime to dance with Celine Dion in her show “A New Day”. While performing in the show for the next 5 years, she practiced yoga with Celine’s private instructor, Lena Platel, to keep her mind focused and her body agile.

After moving to Los Angeles in January 2008, Jennifer decided that it was time to share her love of yoga and her knowledge of the body-through her many years of intense dance training and professional dance experience-with the community. She fell in love with, and began practicing at the Yogaworks studio on Larchmont after living in Los Angeles for only a week. Jennifer is certified from the Yogaworks teacher training program which includes the in depth study of the Yogaworks method including: Iyengar, Asthanga, Anusara, Anatomy, Philosophy, Ayurveda, and pre-natal yoga. She has studied under Lena Platel, Joan Hyman, Whitney Allen, Colleen Garrity, Peter Barnett, Clay Kyle, Amy Lafond, James Brown, and Lucy Bivins.

NICOLE SESSIONS

nicole-sessions

A dancer and gymnast since childhood, Nicole was naturally drawn to yoga’s grace and athleticism. She began practicing almost 10 years ago, after taking her first yoga class, and being truly challenged both physically and mentally. Nicole was blown away by yoga’s ability to stimulate strength, balance and flexibility. After trying Ashtanga and Bikram yoga, and feeling the tremendous physical effects on her body, Nicole was then struck by the powerful calming and quieting effects of her practice. It was yoga’s ability to heal the body AND mind that inspired Nicole to teach. She was certified at the 200 Hour level by YogaWorks. She has studied with yoga greats and some unknowns, but is still inspired by the fact that our greatest teacher is within. Nicole teaches a dynamic class, with a warm and encouraging approach, while challenging students to confront and expand their limits. Nicole loves being a yoga instructor because every time she teaches, she is renewed and refreshed by the inexhaustible force of giving.

Clio Manuelian has been called  a captivating storyteller and has made  an art of weaving together Hatha Yoga’s principles of alignment, strength, and flexibility, along with ancient philosophy and modern  humor. As a practitioner for the past 12 years, her passion for yoga  has traveled coast to coast and offered the perfect antidote to as  many years in the fashion industry. In that light, her classes are  both vigorous - how it looks on the outside, and meditative - how it  feels on the inside; with constant encouragement and personal attention. Finding infinite inspiration from her teachers Annie Carpenter/Yoga Works LA, Ruth Lauer-Manenti/Jivamukti NY, and Cyndi Lee/OM NY, Elena Bower/Virayoga NY, her classes have garnered a  faithful following.  Clio’s calling for change begins one breath at a  time…
